Tweets mentions,
Khandelwal has requested the Indian government to ban the upcoming game due to, not only a threat to national sovereignty and security of India but also harmful for young generations. In his letter dated June 18th to Union IT & Communication Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Khandelwal has mentioned that Krafton is trying to circumvent Indian laws and launching the banned PUBG Mobile game under the guise of an Indian version.

The mentions that PUBG Mobile has reportedly prompted addiction, loss of money, and livelihood for many. According to the letter, Krafton is misleading the Indian government by relaunching the same game under the new title of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).

Khandelwal points out that the APK package for the game users has ‘pubg.imobile’ in the package name, which is something that has already been reported in the past and raised eyebrows.

In his tweets, Khandelwal has also tagged Google India to remove Battlegrounds India Mobile from the Play Store. Till now there has been no official statement from Google or the government but we can expect a development soon in this regard.
